I just recently added a set of RC Components
chromed wheels to my ride. This has been the most dramatic mod
I've done so far. One area that "stuck" out like a sore
thumb was the rear differential hub. All that chrome back there
held on by a massive piece of aluminum. I've seen work on the net
done by BIGLRY & BONES.
Both guys are felllow members of California
VTX Riders so they were real easy to get hold of and ask questions...
As it turns out they had a package deal that worked out great for me. This included getting both front calipers, rear caliper, rear differential hub and a custom milled bracket buffed and polished. I'm not sure if it's part of their service or not but they went ahead and started working on parts they had in inventory with the promise I would exchange them with mine. Not a dollar sent, just my word.
As it turns out, BIGLRY is fairly local to me, about 600 miles
round trip. I posed the question if he would be willing to do some
other work on my bike and install the newly polished parts. He said
"come on over". Now I've met both BIGLRY & Bone before,
I consider them riding brothers. This kind hospitality showed this.
I couldn't leave for BIGLRY's place until the early
evening hours, he and his wife were kind enough to let me stay at
there home knowing I was going to be arriving late in the evening.
Let me tell you after BBQ'n all day long at 90-100 degree temperatures
then riding close to 300 miles. The offer to spend the night with
them was very much appreciated!
The next morning we started early on the mods and parts exchange...

I've been wanting to get rid of the helmet lock ever since I started using 200 series tires. It seemed to be the closest point of contact to the tire. BIGLRY took care of it...

A few photos prior to the parts exchange. Note the Nissin Logo on the side of the calipers. On the exchanged set they are completely removed.

I tried my hand at buffing and polishing. For some, it works out great. Myself, I had neither the skill set, equipment or time to do this level of work. Looking at the photos you would think I got my parts chromed, it's just that good. This is one of those cases where I felt you really get what you pay for... this one was well worth it for me...
